C.O.R.E. Promotes a Safe, Sober Spring Break 2015:
We "Chews" to be Drug Free
On Friday, March 13, PRHS C.O.R.E. promoted a safe and sober Spring Break 2015 by sending the “'Chews' to Be Drug Free” message with their Dubble Bubble Pledge Drive!
In the 42 minute lunch period, C.O.R.E. members drew quite a crowd and obtained one hundred and nineteen pledges from ninth through twelfth graders who agreed to be drug free, an all important message always but appropriately timely as the students prepare to head off on Spring Break 2015. To recognize the students' participation in choosing to be drug free, pledge signers were given a piece of chewing gum. The C.O.R.E. Society's message that Spring Break can still be great if you partake in good, clean fun was loud and clear, and the response from students on campus was even better than expected!
Look for C.O.R.E.’s next pledge drive at various spring sporting events on campus as the club “springs” into action at spring sports by trying to further spread the message that drug free is the way to be! On March 25, the group will be at the CCAC Track Meet hosted at PRHS from 3-5pm obtaining pledges and recruiting new members; on March 31, the group will be at the softball, baseball, and lacrosse games from 6pm to 8pm.
